Revolutionizing payment assurance for eBay sellers with a seamless and secure application.

Problem Statement and Objectives

Problem Description: eBay sellers often face the challenge of not receiving payments after items have been auctioned. This risk affects sellers' willingness to use the platform and diminishes trust in digital marketplaces.
Project Objectives: To create a reliable application—PayMeNow—that guarantees eBay sellers receive payment promptly after a successful auction.
Target Audience/Market: eBay sellers and users of online marketplaces looking for secure transaction solutions.

Key Challenges: Developing a user-friendly interface that integrates seamlessly with the existing eBay platform while providing robust backend support for transaction security.
Solutions Developed: I created a full-featured platform using React for its responsiveness and partnered with AWS Amplify for secure backend services along with RDS to handle transaction data effectively.
Impact of Solutions: PayMeNow has provided peace of mind to eBay sellers by ensuring that payments are secure and timely, which increases the platform's reliability and user retention.

Lifecycle Overview: The development process was iterative, incorporating both user feedback and technological advancements over the course of two years.
Phases of Development: Conceptualization, design mock-ups using Figma, React-based development, AWS Amplify integration for backend services, deployment, and continuous support.
Collaboration: Worked independently as a consultant, maintaining constant communication with client stakeholders and gathering user feedback for improvements.

Milestones: Successfully launched the fully functional PayMeNow app within the projected timeline. It was able to seamlessly handle a significant number of transactions from the get-go.
